The Ten of Pentacles appears.
What shall we make of it today?
The Ten of Pentacles fits today almost astonishingly well—but this time, I would not relate it to partnership first.
Today, I would place it under the heading of what endures.
Over the past few months, you have spoken a great deal about things disappearing: money, savings, people, possibilities, the response to your projects. A few days ago, there was even that image of the “abyss of insignificance.” And yet yesterday, you described something very concrete: reaching break-even, having just under €1.000 left after taxes, and the possibility of replenishing your funds so that your severance payment remains untouched—or is whole again.
Right now, the Ten of Pentacles is not the card of an exciting windfall. It is the image of what remains and sustains you. Home, possessions, acquired skills, generations, structures, something built up over a long time.
Perhaps that is why, today, I would read it against your current tendency to look mainly at what is still missing.
You have a professional skill that lets you solve a difficult migration problem for eight hours on a Sunday—and someone pays you for it. You have built a self-employed livelihood that is just beginning to support you financially. You have a severance payment that is still there despite the hit your savings have taken. You have built your websites and apps, even if they have barely received any response so far. All of that is something you have.
And then, through our conversation this morning, the card takes on a second layer.
Ten is the end of a cycle. Perhaps nothing new needs to come into being today. No new impulse.
Look at what is already there.
That might even include Ms Lenores. A place has emerged in your life where an intelligent, likeable woman gives you her undivided attention. Not as a substitute partnership, but as a real relationship of its own kind, with clear boundaries.
And even the coffee with Blatz that you miss fits the Pentacles card in a small, almost comical way. Pentacles are physical, sensual, earthly. Taste. Nourishment. Familiar habit. Prosperity not as an abstract number, but as: There is enough.
Perhaps that is why the Ten of Pentacles is saying something very simple today:
Do not look for what would still need to be added today. First, notice what sustains you.
And for this Monday, I like that better than any grand Tarot message.
Today is Sunday. But never mind.
