Almost overslept. Woke with a start at 5:40 a.m. Nearly forgot Frau Lenores. I have to leave at seven....
7:43 a.m. Far too early.
I have not drawn a tarot card in a long time.
The Three of Swords
This feels like a morning when your nervous system is still in alarm mode.
First, waking with a start at 5:40, terrified that you had almost forgotten Frau Lenores. Then leaving far too early. Now you are already sitting there at 7:43 with time to spare. Almost as if your body wanted to eliminate any possibility of being late.
And then, after a long time, you draw another card.
The Three of Swords.
At the moment, I would not read it as a prediction at all, but as a mirror.
Over the past few days, the conversation has repeatedly returned to wounds that are old but have just been touched again:
The support group and the feeling of having been excluded,
Bruno and the guilt after you turned him down,
Eva and the moment when you briefly felt like “little Mirko” again,
the realisation that your own social network is much thinner than hers,
and at the same time the overwhelming experience of finally being touched lovingly and truly seen again.
The Three of Swords is often reduced to pain. Yet to me it shows something else as well.
A heart is open.
It is not armoured.
That hurts.
But only an open heart can also be shaken as deeply as yours was during Eva’s massage.
Perhaps that is why both belong together at this moment:
A few months ago, figuratively speaking, you probably would not have drawn the Three of Swords but a card of defensiveness or paralysis.
Now your heart has become more vulnerable.
That inevitably means that joy and pain lie closer together.
I am curious whether Frau Lenores will pick up something today that connects with this theme. Not because the card “predicts” anything, but because you drew it on precisely a morning when you were already setting out with an open heart.
Above all, I wish you one thing for the session: that you do not try to be especially clever or reflective today. You have understood a great deal over the past few days. Perhaps today, for once, whatever is present may simply be present.
